Pop-rap upstart Kreayshawn offered fans a little update on her forthcoming debut album. Kreay says that she plans to release special edition cassette tapes of the project, in a unique bit of marketing. There could be about 100 copies of the tapes released.

She also discussed her enthusiasm for working with notables like 2 Chainz, Kid Cudi, and more on the project.

“Basically everybody on the album, I f*ck with,” Kreayshawn said. “I f*ck with their music, I f*ck with them personally.”

The project is expected to drop this summer.

Famed actor/rapper Will Smith lost his cool today (May 18th) when a Ukrainian reporter tried to kiss him at the Moscow premiere of Smith’s Men In Black 3. The star angrily pushes the man away after the unexpected advance and slaps him across the face.

“He’s lucky I didn’t sucker punch him,” Smith says angrily after the incident.

It is being reported that the man’s mouth touched Smith’s and that he has a history of unexpectedly kissing celebrities. Smith resumed signing autographs and doing interviews on the red carpet after the altercation.

2 Chainz gushed about a phone call from hip hop veteran Ma$e and the advice the former Bad Boy Records star gave 2 Chainz about his burgeoning hip hop career. Ma$e reportedly passed on some words that he himself and learned from the late Notorious B.I.G.

“A legend hit me the other day,” Chainz said in an interview with radio host Big Boy. “This my first time putting it in an interview. But Ma$e hit me the other day and told me he was a fan of my music, dog. And then he told me something that Biggie said and I felt like Biggie told it to me. … Biggie told Ma$e at the time they was popping, whatever, he said, ‘Get it while you can and can it when you get it.’ And I was like, it felt like Biggie had told me. That phone call just meant so much. Stuff like that lets me know I’m covering ground.”

Writer Chastises Rapper’s ‘Gangsta Lyrics’

A New York Daily News writer has blasted rapper Fat Joe and the Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr’s decision to honor the Terror Squad rhymer with a spot on the Bronx Walk of Fame.

Patrice O’Shaughnessy criticized Joe in a new column this week.

“I thought maybe Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. had temporarily lost his mind,” she wrote. “He announced that this weekend, he will induct rapper Fat Joe into the Bronx Walk of Fame, for being ‘an outstanding citizen and a role model to countless Bronxites. He has positively represented the Bronx and throughout his music career has helped keep the Bronx on the ‘musical map,’ becoming one of our very own homegrown success stories.’ I guess one can get beyond Fat Joe’s brushes with the law, and even his gangsta lyrics idolizing guns and demeaning women; most people are kind of inured to that stuff now.”

”What I Embody, This Game Contradicts That”

T.I. hinted that about possible retirement from hip hop in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club. The hip hop superstar says that has not been a fan of the changes that have occurred in hip hop and he could see himself stepping away.

“This is what everyone fails to realize. I want out,” Tip said. “I want out, man. What the game is going to and what has evolved into from a personality standpoint, it goes against what I represent. What I embody, this game contradicts that. So I want out. I’m in it because I love music and I have obligations contractually.”

”People Ain’t Gonna Be Feelin’ This”

50 Cent discussed his hospitalization earlier this week and revealed his stomach ailment was the result of eating tainted meat from a hamburger. 50 also shared that Emimem warned his friend and fellow hip hop star about the ramifications of dying from a bad burger.

“I’m in a dead serious moment like, ‘Damn, I don’t believe this is happenin’ right now,’” he said. “[Eminem] goes, ‘Yo Fif, you were shot nine times man if you die over a burger, this sh– ain’t gonna go right. People ain’t gonna be feelin’ this.’”

50 Cent assured fans that he’s fine now. “I’m feelin’ better; I’m in good spirits,” he said.
